CDM Group has successfully completed the construction and commissioning of the Paardeberg East fifty tonne per hour DMS Plant. CDM Group was engaged to complete the structural, civil, electrical and mechanical design (the process being pre-determined by the client), supply, construction and commissioning of the diamond recovery plant for the JSE listed Diamond Core Resources Ltd.
The fit-for-purpose plant is Diamond Core Resources Ltd’s first plant and operation and has been completed ahead of schedule and with a clear safety record. Diamond Core Resources Ltd’s mine management were very satisfied with the team effort shown by CDM Group in helping them integrate the new plant sections with client-supplied equipment and existing ROM pad and tip.
Guy Morgan, the CDM Group Project Manager, was pleased
with the outcome of the plant considering that despite the integration
with Diamond Core Resources Ltd’s equipment, CDM Group managed
to maintain their strict adherence to design codes and quality procedures.
“At all times we resisted taking shortcuts in achieving the material
handling plant’s integration with existing crushers and structures
– we had to adapt a zero-compromise approach.
